Park Ridge Cancer Services has been awarded national accreditation by The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons. The center has been granted Three-Year Approval after a site evaluation by a specially-trained physician surveyor of the American College of Surgeons.
“This highly coveted award is a tribute to the teamwork of the physicians and staff at Park Ridge Cancer Services,” stated Dr. Maria Moore, Medical Director of Park Ridge Cancer Services. “In earning this prestigious award, Park Ridge is establishing itself as a leader in providing quality cancer care to the western North Carolina region.”
Patients who receive care at CoC-approved cancer programs are ensured access to the following:

Established in 1922 by the American College of Surgeons, the CoC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival rates and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive, quality care. Its membership includes Fellows of the American College of Surgeons and 42 national organizations that reflect the full spectrum of cancer care.
