HOPE Behavioral Health Services
The HOPE programs of Park Ridge Hospital offer psychiatric care and assistance to guide patients and loved ones through life’s unpredictable rough spots. These treatment programs are based on a Christian commitment to care for all patients with dignity and respect. Each patient room is private and located within Park Ridge Hospital. Through HOPE Behavioral Services, women and older adults are given a helping hand to emerge from darkness to a brighter day. HOPE Behavioral Services programs are:
The Women’s Program
A full continuum of psychiatric services that encourage women to nurture themselves, develop skills for self-empowerment, gain self-awareness, learn to cope with overwhelming feelings, redirect negative behavior patterns and examine negative thinking. The program treats such problems as anxiety, eating disorders, marital or family conflicts, sexual and physical abuse, co-dependency, grief depression and loss.
The Geropsychiatric and Medical Psychiatric Programs
Designed to address the behavioral care needs of men and women 65 years or older. Depression, psychosis, panic and anxiety states, delirium and behavioral symptoms are some of the issues addressed in this program.
Because many older adults who experience behavioral or cognitive dysfunction, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia, also experience physical distress, patients receive a comprehensive assessment of medication regimes, physical and psychiatric diagnoses and functional abilities.
