On April 8, 2008, Park Ridge Hospital will officially break ground on its $25.5 million expansion project. This project will build and renovate 65,267 square feet of hospital space to expand departments, including the surgical, obstetric, outpatient and laboratory areas resulting in improved hospital efficiency, patient safety and doctor-patient confidentiality.
One of the highlights of the expansion is an 18,000 square foot Women's Center with large boutique-style patient rooms and a dedicated C-Section Room. "Park Ridge Hospital recently welcomed Hendersonville OB/GYN to our staff, giving us six board certified or board eligible OB/GYN physicians of staff," explained Karen Owensby, Vice President of Clinical Services. "With this physician base, combined with our new center, we will offer a first rate facility for expectant parents and their families."
"We look forward to this expanision as we improve our capacity to care for the health of the people of Henderson and Buncombe counties," stated Jimm Bunch, President and CEO of Park Ridge Hospital. "We welcome our neighbors in these counties to join us in this celebration."
