Park Ridge Hospital will hold their 3rd Annual Community Health Fair on Sunday February 17th, in conjunction with their 16th Annual 5K Race. This Free Community Health Fair takes place at the Lelia Patterson Center, located at 1111 Howard Gap Road from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Health Fair will feature the following: FREE Health Screenings (no need to register), Dr. Rudins from Southeastern Sports Medicine, health and fitness vendors with information and give-aways, chiropractic screenings, and much more.
The 5K race starts from Park Ridge Hospital at 2:30 pm and finishes at the Lelia Patterson Center. Parking is available at the hospital, and registration will be at the Leila Patterson Center. To get to the Lelia Patterson Center take Interstate 26 to exit 44, then south on Hwy. 25. Turn left at first light onto Naples Road and follow to hospital.
Race-day registration will be held from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. Entry fees for the Frostbite race are as follows: 5K early bird fee: $20.00 prior to February 14th; $25.00 after the deadline and on race day. Fun Run is $10.00. For more information call Duncan Sharrits at (828) 681-2162.
The first 250 registered 5K runners are guaranteed a long sleeved tech shirt. Water and sports drinks will be available on the course. And participants get the BEST post-race food including huge cookies and fruit will be available after the race. A new addition this year will be the presence of the Chik-fil-A cow, who has offered to start the Fun Run!
