Park Ridge Hospital Honors Volunteers
5/7/2008

On April 21, Park Ridge Hospital held their annual “Auxiliary Awards Banquet” honoring over 100 volunteers who provide excellent service to 28 hospital service areas.  The members who volunteered in 2007 gave over 18,000 hours of service to their community through various hospital entities.  In addition to the many hours of volunteer work, the Auxiliary contributed to the hospital by providing funding for new Ultra Sound and Done Density equipment.

In honor of National Volunteer Week, awards were presented to volunteers who gave more than 100 hours of service to the hospital during 2007.  Special Recognition awards were given to the four volunteers who gave more than 500 hours, and to a student volunteer who gave over 500 hours.  They are as follows, respectively: John Nixon, Rosemary Iles, Jean Murphy, Joanne Kotlarz, and Monica Gayton.

“Our volunteers are the backbone of our hospital family”, explained Sandra Parris, Volunteer Director for Park Ridge Hospital.  “We simply cannot thank them enough for all the blessings they bring us”.
